Good practices from islands that cover their energy needs exclusively by renewable energy sources, friendly to the environment and to the society will be presented at the scientific conference "Energy autonomous islands and communities" that will take place on 14-15 November 2015  at the Orthodox Academy Crete, in Chania. Aim of the conference is to get the society of Crete involved in the RES vision and inform the local community about existing European cases.

Bright and dark moments of the history of Thessaloniki will be presented through a rich and diverse program devoted to the city's struggles and movements and also to the modern solidarity initiatives triggered by the crisis. The festival is organised for the 5th year, by the ecological Movement Thessaloniki on 17-20 of September, at the municipal park beside the Garden Theater, with the support of the Heinrich Böll Foundation Greece.

Two day seminar is organised in Athens on 11 and 12 June, with the aim to bringe the gap between the needs of municipalities and the skills of political and administrative staff in energy saving, provide information to citizens and civil society for the benefits and ways to save energy as well as disseminate good practices and models from Greece and abroad.

Sustainable Energy Youth Network (SEYN) wants to empower young people to actively contribute to the energy transition movement towards a fossil-fuel-free era. SEYN aims to sensitize and motivate mainly young people to the challenges of climate change and the necessity of developing sustainable means of energy production by the local communities, which can contribute to the preservation of the biodiversity of the planet and to promote a social cooperative model of human development.
