Sofia Adam is Project Coordinator in the field of Social Solidarity Economy for Heinrich Böll Foundation Greece. She is a researcher and advisor on Social and Solidarity Economy. She has a degree in Economics from the University of Macedonia, an MSc in Development Economics from SOAS/University of London and a Phd in Social Policy from the Democritus University of Thrace. She has published research monographs in social policy and social economy at the Labour Institute/Greek General Confederation of Labour. She has also published a Practitioner’s Guide on the Development of Social Enterprises in collaboration with the Heinrich Böll Foundation Greece. She has worked extensively in third sector organizations and as an advisor on social economy at the Greek Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Social Solidarity. She is also teaching relevant subjects at graduate and post-graduate levels in tertiary education.
