Nadia Johanisova, Ph. D., is a senior researcher at the Faculty of Social Studies at the Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic, and author of several books. She has taught and written on critical economics, alternative economic theories, policies and practical economic alternatives to the mainstream firm. Her main interest lies in the interface between economics and the environment and in practical solutions to the environmental crisis that blend economic, social and environmental benefits. In 2014-2016, she headed a research project focused on mapping social solidarity entities in the Czech Republic.
