Evangelos studied International & European Studies with specialization in Political Studies & Diplomacy at the University of Macedonia, Greece. He later took an interest in the administration of international organisations and international NGOs with a professional master degree in International Administration from Sorbonne Law at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, France. Evangelos continues his studies with a research doctorate (PhD) at AUTH Law, Department of Public Law & Political Science with a focus on the European law of EU external relations.

He has worked with the Human Rights Committee at the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Switzerland and at the Immediate Office of the Registrar of the International Criminal Court, The Netherlands. In 2015, he was member of the leadership team at the Federation of Young European Greens. He speaks Greek, English, French, Spanish fluently and understands Russian and Italian at a basic level.

Evangelos coordinated the democracy programme for five years. In 2022 he was appointed coordinator of the foreign & security programme of the Heinrich Boell Foundation Thessaloniki Office in Greece. As a Gender Focal Point, he is responsible for incorpotating the gender dimension into all projects of the Office.
