Dimitra Siatitsa is a PhD in Architecture and Urban Planning at the NTUA and a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Sociology, University of Crete. Her work focuses on urban and housing issues, housing inequalities, public housing and urban policies, sustainable local/urban development, alternative initiatives and social movements, with a particular interest in Southern Europe. She is currently teaching at the Department of Architecture Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (academic scholar) and at the Master's Degree in Social and Solidarity Economy of the Hellenic Open University. She has collaborated in research in Greece and in European projects. She has worked in the field of social solidarity at the Ministry of Labour. She is a founding member of the CoHab group and other research networks.
