Chrysiis studied Politics and International Relations at the Department of Balkan, Slavic and Oriental Studies of the University of Macedonia, and she also holds an MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She currently seeks to combine her research interest in human rights, migration, humanitarian diplomacy, development, poverty, social exclusion and human security in a PhD on the intersectional and interdisciplinary topic of human disposability.

She has previously worked with the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), and she has extensive experience working with NGOs and student societies on human rights protection, refugee protection, the social inclusion of ethnic minorities, the environment, humanitarian aid and women’s empowerment. She joined the Thessaloniki team of the Heinrich Böll Stiftung in February 2023 to combine and further develop her interests and skills, be part of a global network and work with great colleagues and partners alike to build a more socially just world.
