Irini Stavridou was born and lives in Polihni, Thessaloniki. She studied Economics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and obtained a Master's degree in Education from the Hellenic Open University. She is a Certified Adult Educator in Economic subjects by the National Organisation for Certification of Qualifications & Vocational Guidance and a lecturer in Centres for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning.

She has worked for 17 years in the banking and insurance sector in positions of responsibility and for the last 7 years she has been working as an administrative officer in the Ministry of Health.

She has trainings in Social and Solidarity Economy, Coaching and Ecotherapy. She is an amateur grower as a member of the collective PERKA Karatasios and is involved in voluntary work through associations on environmental issues, protection of open public space, sport and culture.
