Panos Petridis is a researcher at the Institute of Social Ecology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, focusing on the interactions between society and nature and the role of participatory research in sustainability transitions. He serves as coordinator of the interdisciplinary research project "Sustainable Samothraki" which studies the conditions of island sustainability and supports a transition process for the island of Samothraki towards more sustainable directions. He has published on the concepts of socio-ecological transformation and degrowth as a collective effort to redefine well-being outside the context of economic imperatives.
