Thessaloniki's stories told from the sea - Waterfront walk & boat trip

Thessaloniki Waterfront is one of the most characteristic parts of the city and shaped by its unique geographical setting along the Thermaikos gulf. Our historic tour of the city’s seafront started at the iconic Aristotle square with a view of the square’s namesake’s statue and went along the so called ‘paralia’. The group discovered the statue of Alexander the Great, another important Macedonian figure, and visited the White Τower and learned about its dark past as well. In order to see the city from the sea, the group embarked on a boat called Arabella, for a short scenic tour through the Thermaikos gulf, which offered a different and beautiful perspective of the city with its main landmarks and attractions in light of the slowly setting sun.
