Kristina Millona is a researcher and investigative journalist based in Tirana, Albania working on topics around mobility, migration and externalization of border control. After graduating from SOAS University of London in Transnational Queer Feminist Politics, she has researched and written on the criminalization of Albanian migrants in the UK, with a particular focus on the secret policies operated by the Home Office against Albanian male asylum-seekers to disturb their right to claim asylum. She has reported extensively on the Italy-Albania migrant deal by shedding light on the establishment of a branch office in Albania of the Italian company managing the centers. Her articles were featured in Kosovo 2.0, Balkan Insight, Melting Pot, Jacobin, Altreconomia, IrpiMedia.
