Jörg Haas is heading the Division International Politics of the Heinrich Böll Foundation, covering international financial and economic affairs and global governance.
He studied Geography and Ethnology in Trier in the 1980s, with postgraduate studies at the Seminar for Rural Development, Berlin.
1990-92 GTZ employee in a rainforest project in Ecuador.
From 1993 he was heading the Latin America Division of the Heinrich Böll Foundation, switching over in 1997 to head to the Ecology Division. Working there until 2008 with a focus on climate and energy policy and the ecological governance of globalization.
Further stations were Program Director Global Climate Policy of the European Climate Foundation supporting the global climate negotiations with technical and economic analysis, and in bilateral climate finance initiatives after the Copenhagen climate conference.
From 2014 to 2017 he was working at Campact, a progressive digital citizen's movement.
