Hicham Arroud, born in 1975, is from the city of Nador, which is situated between the Algerian and Spanish borders in the north of Morocco. He holds a European master degree in management. After working in the social field, in rural areas and defending the rights of migrants and refugees for more than 10 years, he moved to Rabat in 2016 to join the Fondation Orient Occident as a migration programme coordinator.
