“I am Hanna Smit, living in Amsterdam. During this congress I would like to tell everyone more about the Startblok Riekerhaven project in Amsterdam. A project where Dutchtenants live together with 'new’ Dutch residents (refugees). A project where I have lived for several years and was also part of the self-management team. I also started to focus on the rights of young tenants in the rest of Amsterdam during my work at !WOON. I now stand up for the rights of these young tenants, by taking legal action but also by giving them the information they need. Recently, I completed the UPLIFT project, in which young tenants were allowed to participate in discussions about the current and future housing policy”.
