Ekaterini Georgiadou is an Attorney at Law at the Supreme Court and the Council of State and a member of the Thessaloniki Bar Association. She holds a Master's Degree in Public Law and Political Sciences from the Department of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a graduate of the Department of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She participates as a lecturer in conferences, seminars, workshops and activities in Greece and abroad on human rights and public goods issues. She is an active member of the Hellenic League for Human Rights (EEDA), a non-governmental organisation for the protection of human rights. She provided legal assistance and counselling to asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in asylum seekers' accommodation centres in Greece. In addition, she is an active member and solidarity lawyer of the Transgender Support Association (SYD). She participates in conferences and provides legal support for human rights in Greece and abroad. An activist lawyer, she contributes with strategic litigation to the rights of LGBTQI, refugees and asylum seekers in Greece, the preservation of cultural heritage, the non-privatization of water and its protection as a public good, the separation of Church and State, the fight against racism and xenophobia. Finally, Georgiadou is a member of social organizations and collectives (Soste to Nero, Alexandros Svolos Neighborhood Initiative, KEERFA, etc.), a former councillor in the Municipality of Pella and former president of the Municipal Enterprise for Tourism and Cultural Development of the Municipality of Pella.
