Dr Birte Rodenberg is a sociologist and works as a freelance consultant, moderator and (gender) trainer, primarily for non-profit organizations. Her main topics are international women's and human rights, gender, climate change and ecological sustainability. Another focus of his work is advising organizations involved in international and development policy in the areas of planning, monitoring and evaluation (PM&E).

She is involved, among other things, as a member of the board of the international network Gender CC - Women for Climate Justice e.V. and in the CEDAW alliance of civil society organizations in Germany.
