Antigoni Papageorgiou studied Political Science (University of Athens) and Cultural Management (Panteion University), and completed her PhD in Cultural Industries at the University of Leeds (UK) with an AHRC scholarship. Her doctoral research examined the turn of young workers towards forms of creative labour and startup entrepreneurship in crisis‑era Athens.

She is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Economic and Regional Development at Panteion University, working on projects related to the cultural and creative industries (CCI), with a particular focus on creative labour and production, as well as the evaluation of policies addressing youth unemployment and employability.

Her research interests include gender, the emergence of collaborative workspaces, digital nomads, and the expansion of the gig economy. In recent years, her work has been published in journals such as Local Economy, Gender, Place and Culture, and The Greek Review of Social Research.

Since March 2023, she has been an Adjunct Lecturer teaching “Cultural Management” and “Cultural and Creative Industries” at the Department of Communication, Media and Culture, Panteion University.
