Anastasios Telidis was born in 1988 in Tashkent (former Soviet Union) and in 1990 he moved to Thessaloniki.
He graduated from the Department of Finance & Accounting of the University of Macedonia and holds a Master's degree in "Local & Regional Development and Local Government" from the Department of Economics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
In 2010, at the age of 22, he was elected the youngest Municipal Councilor of Thessaloniki. During this period he was in charge of the operation of the Family Care Centres (KEFO) in Toumba and Xerokrini, a delegated councilor on immigration policy issues and president of the Association of Municipalities of Western Thessaloniki as a representative of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
In the 2014 elections, he was re-elected as a Municipal Councillor and was appointed Municipal Councilor for Education Actions with responsibilities for the organisation of lifelong learning programmes, the implementation of educational programmes for students and the supervision of the adequacy and suitability of the school building.
He is currently Special Advisor for Financial Management to the Mayor of Thessaloniki, while he is also a freelance accountant.
