Falguni Lalwani

Falguni Lalwani grew up in Rajasthan—one of India’s most climate-vulnerable regions, and one where patriarchal norms still shape daily life. That backdrop left her with a steady question: when women bear an uneven share of the climate burden, why are their voices so faint in policy rooms?

She is a Green Foreign Policy Fellow with the Heinrich Böll Foundation in 2025-2026 and holds a triple-major BA in Economics, Media Studies, and Political Science from CHRIST (Deemed to be University), which trained her to approach problems from multiple angles. Having recently completed her MSc in International Political Economy at the London School of Economics as a Commonwealth Master’s Scholar, she focuses on gender and climate governance, translating feminist political economy into practical toolkits and adoption pathways for policymakers.

Early in her career, she aims to bring rigorous, collaborative research to the centre of climate decision-making—so institutions can see both lived realities and the larger system, and design policies that are intersectional and inclusive of the most marginalised groups.

In her spare time, she enjoys long walks and has a deep appreciation for Shakespearean theatre.
