Anastasia Vaitsopoulou is a journalist. She writes about human rights, specializing in gender and its intersections with other social issues such as migration, refugee-related issues, the climate crisis, and more. She works in news bulletins and is involved in video and documentary production, in collaboration with the Sphera Network. Her documentary Transistence was screened at the Athens International Film Festival “Premiere Nights”. She is also a member of Medfeminiswiya, the network of feminist journalists of the Mediterranean.
She studied Communication and Media at the University of Athens and completed the postgraduate program “Gender, Society, Politics” at Panteion University. She has won first prize in the “Write for Inclusion” journalism competition and is an adult educator, facilitating workshops using the “Active Citizens” methodology for inclusion and equality.
