Stavros Papageorgopoulos is Senior Legal Officer at the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE). He is involved in ECRE’s legal work conducting research activities, trainings of legal and humanitarian professionals, litigation and legal advocacy. Before ECRE, Stavros worked as a lawyer with the Greek Council for Refugees on the island of Samos, where he represented asylum applicants and refugees, engaged in field monitoring activities and contributed to the organisation’s advocacy activities.
