Abby Field is the International Legal Expert at Fenix Humanitarian Legal Aid, an NGO which provides asylum seekers and refugees with holistic legal aid in Greece. With a master’s degree in international human rights law, they specialise in the rights of LGBTQI+ asylum seekers. As an LGBTQI+ consultant, they have provided specialised consultations to asylum seekers, trained organisations, conducted training on behalf of UNHCR, and chaired the LGBTQI+ working group in Greece. They have publications on compelled concealment, reception conditions, triggering events, procedural violations and intersectionality, with mentions from Josoor, Solomon and the Pulitzer Center.
