Χάρης Μαλαμίδης

Haris Malamidis holds a PhD from the university Scuola Normale Superiore in Italy. He is a post-doctoral researcher working on migrants’ integration and social and solidarity economy at the department of Sociology at the University of Crete and teaches at the master program of Social and Solidarity Economy at the Hellenic Open University. Haris has worked as a researcher at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy for the projects Horizon 2020 Norms and Values in the European Migration and Refugee Crisis (NOVAMIGRA) and AMIF ‘Approaches to valorise the high entrepreneurial potential of migrant women to contribute to their social and economic integration’ (ATHENA). His book Social Movements and Solidarity Structures in Crisis-Ridden Greece has been published by Amsterdam University Press, while his articles have been published in academic journals and the press.
