Professor of Political Ecology and Ecological Economics at the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (ICTA-UAB). He studied chemistry and environmental engineering at Imperial College London, Master in Economics from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. PhD in environmental policy from the University of the Aegean. He was Marie Curie International Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley and Leverhulme Professor at SOAS, University of London. He is the author of The case for degrowth (Polity Press, 2020) and Limits. Why Malthus was wrong and why environmentalists should care (Stanford University Press, 2019)
