The Thessaloniki Animation Festival (TAF), the second largest Animation Festival in Greece, takes place for the 4th consecutive year in Thessaloniki 18-21 of October, with screenings taking place at "MAKEDONIKON" Cinema, while there will be workshops and screenings for children at the Central Municipal Library.
The Select Respect Netrwork for human rights participates for the second consecutive year with the special thematic HUMAN RIGHTS ANIMATED where through the art of animation a selected number of short animated films shedding light into issues pertaining to human rights will be screened. What is more, the Network will award the film best expressing the aims the Select Respect Network was found upon.
After their first participation at last year's TAF, Chloé Alliez & Violette Delvoye return presenting in a global premier their series “World in (stop) Motion”. One of the episodes, "Ruined Picture", was filmed during the last TAF together with participants in a two-day stop-motion workshop! On Sunday and Saturday mornings there will be screenings and workshops for children.

Within the auspices of TAF a competition of short-films will take place and there will be awards in various categories. LAst but not least, the guests will be awarded for their offer in the art of animation.

The Thessaloniki Animation Festival is organized with the support of Heinrich Boell Foundation Greece, while supporting the Assistance Thessaloniki for the 4th consecutive year: During TAF long-duration foods and products for hygiene will be gathered for the families supported by Assistance Thessaloniki.
