Deconstructing Gender Stereotypes Campaign: Stereotypes from the cradle
Are you working in the fields of education, communication and media? Are you involved in civil society organisations and activities? Feel free to use and apply the video material, as well as the methodology and content of the Guidebook for your own activities!
With an eye on gender democracy, Gender Alliance Initiative and the Heinrich Böll Foundation's Thessaloniki Office in Greece return with a series of dramatized stories and educational videos aiming at critically reflecting upon gender stereotypes while promoting gender equality. The stories and videos are inspired by Gender Equality in Adult Education, a comprehensive Guidebook on educational trainings and activities for adults (https://tinyurl.com/cew77crn).
• Stereotypes from the cradle
• Tell me your gender and I'll tell you what you'll be
• The perfect woman
• Well, he didn't kill her already
The four thematic videos highlight the sexism of everyday life, a pervasive phenomenon, as well as the often inconscient reproduction of gender stereotypes.
