The campaign select respect is an initiative of organizations, which are active in the field of human rights and the fight against discriminations and racism. Our common belief unites us: discriminations and social exclusion, that people face due to their gender, racial, ethnicity, sexual preference, disability, religious and political beliefs concern and affect everybody.
The campaign started on spring 2014, a period that racist violent incidents in Greece and other European countries turn out to be alarming and dangerous. The isolation of the supporters of the extreme right and the populists in the upcoming elections is vital for people’s solidarity and the stability of democracy in our country and in Europe.
The campaign select respect is an initiative of the following organizations:
Heinrich-Böll-Foundation Greece, Praksis, Greek Council for Refugees, Asante, Green Institute Greece, Symviosis and Synergy for the Social Gender. Many more organisations join the initiative. With the financial support of the Open Society Foundations Europe (OSIFE).
