Vera Tika is a political scientist, Research Associate at the Centre for Political Research, Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, and Co-founder/Executive Director of 2Act4, a civil society organization working on democracy, human rights, social inclusion, hate speech, xenophobia and discrimination. She is an Executive Committee Member of the Far Right Analysis Network (FRAN), an international network of researchers, practitioners and journalists dedicated to the analysis of the far right. Her work combines academic research, policy analysis and human rights expertise. She has worked for several years as an expert on human rights, hate crime, hate speech, discrimination, xenophobia and antisemitism, covering the Greek case for international organizations and participating in European research and policy projects. She also serves as an independent expert/evaluator for European Commission programmes. Her academic publications and public interventions focus on contemporary democratic transformations, post-democracy, far-right radicalization, populism, conspiracy theories, disinformation, online hate and minority inclusion, with particular emphasis on Greece, Southern and South-Eastern Europe, the Western Balkans and post-communist political contexts.
