ONLINE EVENT
on "The Necessity of Housing Policy and the Role of Local Authorities" will take place on Thursday 16 December, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. You can follow the event on the Youtube channel of Heinrich Böll Foundation, Thessaloniki Office - Greece (simultaneous interpretation in Greek Sign Language is available).
The aim of the event is to highlight the multiple dimensions of the housing issue, the urban challenges with which it is associated, the need for policies that can respond to housing exclusion and the growing energy poverty.
Particular emphasis will be placed on issues such as national housing policy and different housing policy models from Greece and abroad, as well as the importance of local authorities in shaping holistic public actions, interventions and policies on housing.
The event is organised on the initiative of the Social Policy Committee of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece, co-organised with the Major Development Agency Thessaloniki S.A. and with the support of the Heinrich Böll Foundation, Thessaloniki Office - Greece.

Please note that on Wednesday 15 December, at 12:30 p.m., in the Municipal Council Hall of the municipality of Neapoli-Sykies, a press conference will be held to inform journalists about the purpose and content of the event. The speakers at the press conference will be:
