Heinrich Boell Foundation in Greece, in cooperation with Heinrich Boell Foundation in Serbia, Montenegro and Kossovo, co-organize a study tour for the exchange of ideas and practices between Social Solidarity Economy initiatives from Greece and social enterprises from Serbia and Bosnia Herzegovina.

The documentary "Developing the social economy in karditsa: A Social Ecosystem" explores the historical context of the development of cooperatives in the region, the gradual depreciation and the recent development of an ecosystem of cooperatives and social enterprises today. It combines material from interviews with members of the social economy and members of the wider academic community and support structures.
The summer academy on "Social Economy and Sustainable Rural Development" aims to explore the contribution of social enterprises and cooperatives to rural areas, but also focus on ways to enhance their formation and trading success as well as demonstrate courses of action through best practice examples collected from across Europe.
The second of a series of seminars with the title "Setting up a social enterprise", is organized by the Ecological Movement of Thessaloniki and the Heinrich Böll Foundation Greece next March. The seminar aims to contribute to the development of social economy through the creation of viable cooperative enterprises in Greece.
